Favorite Political/Anarchist Music?
Favorite Political/Anarchist Music?

This could be discussion of the bands, their lyrics, or recomending them to other people.
Some of my favorite bands are
Against Me
Leftover Crack
Suicide Machines
only to name the ones I've listened to lately, just off the top of my head. What are some of your favorite bands?

RATM (of course) Something about funky-ass heavy guitar riffs and pissed-off screaming rapping over it. The chants can be pretty catchy too.
Oi Polloi - Bash the Fash. cool and fairly informative intro for a song, awesome thrashy punk riffs. Sorta riding the edge between punk and thrash metal.
Bob Dylan - Masters of War. Did you ever know an acoustic folk song could sound this pissed off?
Some early sabbath and metallica stuff had some political sentiment before they sold out. War Pigs and And Justice For All... come to mind.
Megadeth has some politicalish stuff. "Kill the King" sure seems relevant sometimes.
Orgasmatron by motorhead, these guys are the fathers of thrash. anti-politician, anti-religion, anti-war tune.
Sooner or later I'd like to get involved in a political band of my own. I play guitar, and mess around on drums and bass.
I'll have to check out some of the bands you listed, my music collection is getting stagnant and I want more political stuff.

And I was gonna mention Megadeth, but I decided against it. But that isa good point.
Also, the new Nine Inch Nails CD has a very leftish tone to it.
And I figured I didn't even need to Mention RATM. Haha.
Oh, another good band is Reagan Youth.

NWA -of course- and my personal favorite, as mentioned, Leftover Crack. Then Choking Victim, Morning Glory, Rancid/Operation Ivy. I'm into a lot of west coast 80's punk...
I just joined a local political band actually. We don't have a name yet but I'm the singer and write most or all the lyrics. We're kinda (not to compare myself to Jello Biafra in any way artistically) Dead Kennedys meets the Screamers (RIP Tomata du Plenty) and a tinge of Bad Brains. Oh yeah -don't forget Bad Brains!
