1. Re: Chomsky's Ron Paul Comments *CONFIRMED*

"the 'people' are running for president 'through' Ron Paul and 'thats' the truth!"

If I thought this to be mostly true, I would probably be among his most ardent supporters. Paul is an ultra right-wing capitalist. He represents the interests of wealth. Wealth is highly concentrated among a small percent of the population, an elite. He is good at using the rhetoric of the working-class, but he represents the interests of their opposition. He is good at using anti-authority rhetoric when it comes to the government, but doesn't acknowledge the immoral and illegitimate authority of concentrations of private power.

My 2 cents. Plenty more in my blog.

LOL! You want people to believe heresay? Heresay is a "statement, other than one made by the declarant while testifying at the trial or hearing, offered in evidence to prove the truth of the matter asserted." - Dictionary.com - Politicians do this all the time! Hey, good luck in your efforts though! LOL!

And also 'thats' the truth is that Ron Paul is endorsed by this lil' outfit: Ku Klux Klan - Knights of the KKK - Brotherhood of Klans KKK .
Are people running for president through this thuggish group as well?

5. Re: Chomsky's Ron Paul Comments *CONFIRMED*

I agree. Why should Chomsky's opinions have any bearing with so-called "anarchists" anyway (or "constitutionalists" either, for that matter)? Chomsky seems to want big government controls. The fact that he prefers Hillary over Dr. Paul confirms to me that Chomsky has lost his rationality--which is unfortunate, as I have admired much of what he's had to say in the past. Rolling Eyes

"I don't understand why there was controversy over why these comments had to be confirmed or not." -- it's from Paul-ites who've never actually read anything Chomsky has written.

7. Re: Mischarecterization of Chomsky's comments

Chomsky's comments do not imply that Ron Paul as a man is not reasonable or credible; rather they imply that Noam believes Paul's ideas to be unreasonable and their enacting undesirable. Many individuals' confusion I believe has its origins in their lack of differentiation between libertarianism (specifically libertarian socialism, or Anarchism, the ideas of which Chomsky is sympathetic towards) and the (hyper-capitalist) Libertarian Party of Ron Paul; when people say "libertarian" outside the U.S., it doesn't mean what it seems to mean to many Americans.
