Attend a Few Meetings of Multiple Groups

If you feel like you find a few clubs that seem interesting to you, start showing up to their meetings. Usually within the first meeting you can tell whether or not the club is something that you can really get into. If you have fun at the first meeting, then put the next one on your calendar and start to get more involved. Whenever you start to feel stressed with all of your classes, this could be the club that makes you feel like you know what you’re doing and it’s all going to be all right.

Talk to Friends

If you’re not sure which are the best clubs to join at your school, you might just want to ask your friends and fellow classmates. There’s a good chance that if you live in a dorm, you see a lot of different people all the time. If this is the case, then there are probably a variety of clubs that your dorm mates interact with. Start asking them about these clubs and see if any of them sound exciting to you.

Find Clubs Related to Your Major

If you’re not sure what kind of club you’d like to join, or if it would even be a good thing to take on in addition to your studies, then you might want to see if there are any clubs at your school that relate to your major. This way, not only might you be able to earn college credit for participating, but they also might be able to give you valuable experience that will make you a more desirable candidate when you enter the work force. No matter what the club may be, it might be a great way to get your foot in the door once you start applying for jobs at the end of your senior year.
