Waterford City
Waterford City is located south of Ireland. It is a place with a rich history. It was founded by the Vikings in 853, making it full of legends and anecdotes worth knowing.
This is the oldest city in Ireland, over the years it was becoming an important commercial center and today you can see different restaurants and high quality. The place is known for being the creator of the world’s finest crystal, it is impossible to place without tempted to buy the glass.
Cultural activity is rich and varied; between the traditions is the Opera Festival Waterford and the International Festival of Children Hullabaloo.
If you visit the City of Waterford you can meet a unique architectural heritage, among the most beautiful buildings are the Cathedral Gorgiana neo classical, created by John Roberts (who also designed the town hall) built in 1793. It is the oldest Catholic cathedral in the country.
